The Macleay Island Heritage Trail is a self-paced way to connect the island's foreshore, wetlands and historic places. It is a multi-stop experience, so choose the sections that suit your time and get local route information before setting out.

Redland City Council lists 11 locations on the trail, including Ron Field Marine Facility, Progress Hall, Campbell's saltworks, the arboretum, Perrebinpa Point, Tim Shea's waterhole, Thompson's Point, Pat's Park, Cow Bay, Lovell's house, and Corroboree Place and Lions Park. Its history and heritage guide (opens in a new tab) and cycling and pedestrian strategy (opens in a new tab) show that the route is made up of several sections rather than one single point.
